Lastly, a few diners have suggested that certain dishes could benefit from additional seasoning or personal customization. While the standard menu excels, the need for more flavor in some plates has been noted, although this varies from visit to visit.
Great little place with a very popular carvery.. easy to see why the taste and presentation is fantastic. Brought back memories of going to Grandma's for a Sunday roast when we were kids Elliott was a great host and the staff are polite and welcoming New outside bar / seating is another little gem which overflows into the garden area, ideal for family gatherings On the whole a very enjoyable visit and the food is Definitely worth a little detour if visiting the area. The letting Rooms are not currently in use and are going to being refurbished shortly so best to check availability with site when works are completed.

Went for a meal last night, first time been in since 2015. Steak and ale pie peas and chips, credit to the chef. Lovely ambience within, pure country pub, very relaxing and friendly people around. Prices are very reasonable, absolute value for money. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need, always smiling and at hand if you require their service. We’re at a campsite on Darby road, and use regularly, now we will be using Sheffield arms even more on our camping trips. 100% going more often for our meals .
